Horse ride along the beach
This was a fantastic experience. Auriel is a very friendly and knowledgeable guide who clearly loves what she does. She provided fascinating insight into the Spanish Armada and surround areas of Mullaghmore and Streedagh Beach. She works alongside Ursula at Island View Stables and they are very accommodating to beginner and novice horse riders. Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to ride a horse and learn some Irish history. Auriel was kind enough to take photos for us as well.
Horseback Tour with Auriel
Fantastic ride with Auriel as our guide! Informative, entertaining and welcoming would best describe the experience. She introduced us to her beautiful and fascinating slice of the planet north of Sligo. Auriel teams up with Island View Riding Stables to take her curious travellers on a variety of rides. We took the 2-hour Beach and Bog ride and enjoyed every minute. After bombarding her with questions and listening to her stories, we were treated to hot drinks and snacks when we returned to the stables. Highly recommend getting introduced to Sligo with Auriel.
Joined Auriel for a walking tour of Carrowkeel and the Caves of Kesh. Awe-inspiring! A step back into prehistory with breath-taking views. Auriel is a knowledgeable ,friendly guide, willing to answer questions and discuss the answers. I had a wonderful day visiting these sites off the beaten path. I have been to Carrowmore, up Knocknarea etc. on my own, but will definitely take these trips again with Auriel and Seatrails on my next trip to Sligo.
Fantastic Guided Walk
We were so impressed with Auriel’s knowledge and enthusiasm on a trip to Labby Rock Portal Tomb that we booked a later walk to Carrowkeel. These sites are over 5,000 years old and Auriel brought them alive for us. This is worth going to Sligo for.
Family hike to Carrowkeel Tombs
We joined a group with our children 14/12years for an extremely interesting and enjoyable hike with fantastic views to Carrowkeel tombs in Sligo. Auriel is incredibly knowledgeable about the area and shared it very generously with us but in a manner that made it understandable and interesting for us non-archaeological types!
High light was going into the tombs…amazing part of history on our doorstep.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon and Auriel is a very pleasant, friendly and patient guide. Highly recommend her tours.
We have joined Auriel in Seatrails to climb both Knocknarea and Benbulben in Sligo. I highly recommend Auriel as a guide. She is a lovely, warm, fun person and is extremely knowledgeable on many topics – history, archaeology, geology, marine life. The list goes on!
Hikes and trails are carefully and safely planned and Auriel ensures that any additional needs in the group are taken into consideration.
Thanks, Auriel for making these experiences memorable!
Excellent Spanish Armada tour
We had a lovely day exploring the Sligo coast with Auriel. She’s a very knowledgeable and friendly host and seems fascinated herself by the geology and history of the area. We learned about the wrecked Spanish Armada ships and the adventures of the Spanish survivor De Cuéllar; saw a 5,000-year-old Stone Age wedge tomb; saw tonnes of fossilised coral, and iron seeping through the limestone, all in a really beautiful part of Sligo. What a grand day! Much appreciated and recommended.
