‘We very much enjoyed our two hour horse ride with Auriel, who, apart from being friendly and thoughtful, is very knowledgeable about the area and Ireland’s history in general. We recommend picking one of her trails at the start of your journey in the area or in Ireland, since she will give you plenty of recommendations on what else to see and do, with regard to your plans and interests.
During our two hour horse ride (just the two of us, Auriel and a guide from the stables), we had a bit of canter on the beach and in the bog, otherwise walking and trotting as was convenient. We learned interesting details about the spanish armada wrecks and survivors along the Irish coastline, about local geology and nature, and were pointed to Lisadell House and at its interesting history of countess Markievicz.’ Kaer Morhen, August 2019
