Foraging Walk, September 14th, 3pm to 5pm, Sligo Woodland

September 14, 2019 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

$5.00 – $20.00
White mushroom growing on a tree biodiversity

The mushrooms are out! Let’s go out together this Autumn (moving towards the ‘Samhain’) and learn how to find some of these delicious treats that nature provides before the winter starts biting. Seasonal, idiosyncratic and mysterious, our wonderful fungi friends play hide and seek for the next few weeks and our expert foraging guide, Tina Pommer, will help you understand their lifecycle, their defence mechanisms, and of course their culinary uses in the most entertaining and intriguing way!

*You will need a car to get to the meeting point, you will not need to drive for more than 20 mins from Sligo Town. There is free parking available at the site.

*We don’t pick many mushrooms on this walk, it’s about learning. You need to be careful too as many are not edible/highly toxic/poisonous so please listen to and respect the advice of your expert guide on the day.

*NO dogs allowed as this is a foraging experience, sorry.

* If you want to bring your children, we advise they are 8 years or over. You are solely responsible for your children on this foraging walk.

*Please are limited on these foraging walks and they are VERY popular! Therefore, booking and payment must be completed here well in advance so please go ahead and book your tickets now.

*Once you book here on our website, we will receive a notification and we will contact you directly closer to the time with meet up details so please provide your email address and telephone number, thank you
