Passionate guideAuriel is an incredibly passionate archaeologist with a huge amount of information at her fingertips. She knows the best places to visit in Sligo and has some really great experiences on offer. While our family enjoyed everything, we did with Auriel, I highly recommend the Shellfish Experience as it was a family favourite! Her website clearly outlines the different trips she offers so use that to determine what you want to do
Historical hike best ever!I hiked with Seatrails to an ancient 5,000 yr old tomb above the valley. The views and the spirituality reside there. Thanks Auriel for sharing a fab walk the best ever. Be artful, be well, Bridget.
Worth Going To Sligo For ThisHad a great experience with Auriel. She has a huge depth of knowledge about the tombs and the area in general and she thinks of everything – even bringing snacks and hot drinks! I chose to visit Sligo because Seatrails was so highly rated here on TripAdvisor and I was not disappointed. (Sligo is a great town, btw.) We did the Carrowkeel tombs and the Sligo caves and she customized it all to fit our needs.
Beautiful scenery and informative guideMy partner and I booked a Rosses Point historical guided walk with Auriel. We found this to be both interesting and informative. Auriel was a pleasant and amiable guide who was well researched on the local area. Would definitely try the other walks on our next visit.
GuideWe loved our tour with Auriel up to Queen Maeve’s grave! It was such a great experience. She was so informative & knowledgeable about the history of the area, the land and the people that lived around there. She was very kind and friendly and even patient when we were a bit late. We would highly recommend her as a guide anytime!!
Knocknarea & Benbulben HikesWe have joined Auriel in Seatrails to climb both Knocknarea and Benbulben in Sligo. I highly recommend Auriel as a guide. She is a lovely, warm, fun person and is extremely knowledgeable on many topics – history, archeology, geology, marine life..the list goes on! Hikes and trails are carefully and safely planned and Auriel ensures that any additional needs in the group are taken into consideration. Thanks Auriel for making these experiences memorable!
Great experience, great service!!We booked couple of tours (Strandhill & Streedagh) as part of our Tourism & Cultural Heritage course. Very interesting, informative, super friendly atmosphere and great memories. Thank you, Auriel, very much for great experience and great time 🙂
Amazing hikes to Knocknarea and CarrowkeelWe spent a wonderful day with Auriel, hiking to Queen Maeve’s Tomb on Knocknarea and then up to Carrowkeel with its 5,000-year-old megalithic passage tombs. There are stunning views from each site. We went on a misty rainy day and only caught glimpses through the mist, but it didn’t matter, it was still so beautiful! Auriel is an excellent guide, very knowledgeable about the area, Ireland’s history and fascinating prehistory, and she shared so much! This was one of our best days in Ireland.
