Yeats Trail Rosses Point

Special Yeats Experience

Relax while in Sligo, take in the sights and join is on this special experience.  We start our day at the scenic village of Rosses Point, just 15 mins drive from Sligo town and where William, Jack, Lilly and Lolly spent their childhood. They were fond of this seaside village. We pass by the old house where their uncle used to live and stop by relics and interesting features along a coastal path. Soak up stunning scenery and breathe in fresh Atlantic air.  Jack Yeats painted many beautiful scenes from here which we will show you. We then drive back into town and have a tasty lunch at award winning W.B’s Cafe. After lunch, you will walk with your guide around Sligo town and learn about various buildings and their connections with the Yeats family and Grandparents who ran the shipping industry in Sligo in the 19th Century. We will also stop at statutes connected to Yeats and by the end of the few hours, you will have a good insight into the family connection with Sligo.
